Snuffed

After the shock passes, and you're sitting at home, having expended every ounce of emotion, you realize that you're not going to be upset forever.  It goes pretty quick to be honest.  What dawns is that you now feel uncomfortable with every aspect of your life.

There's answering the door
going out in public
walking from vehicle to destination
taking the garbage out
speaking to people
riding on elevators
showering
cleaning and remembering how the last time you did it you were someone else
putting on makeup
straightening hair
putting on lotion
pumping gas
going for a run

These things have changed for me.  Whether having no desire to do them, being scared, or asking abnormal questions about such a simple act, they've changed.
(I DIDN'T WANT THEM TO.)
